Literature Texts Books for May/June & GCE (2026 - 2030)
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and the National Examinations Council (NECO) have jointly selected and harmonized literature texts and syllabi for the Senior Secondary Certificate Examinations (SSCE) for both school and private candidates (GCE) for the sessions spanning from 2026 to 2030. These materials are available in PDF format for both the WAEC May/June and GCE sessions.
Included in the selection are texts recommended for study in various literary genres, including African and non-African prose, Shakespearean texts, African and non-African drama, as well as African and non-African poetry.
The released literature texts serve as essential study guides for students preparing to sit for their final examinations in senior secondary schools across the country. These materials have been made accessible online by WAEC, NECO, and the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), and are available for viewing or downloading in PDF format.
