Parliament Confirms Tragic Death of APC MP Ernest Dura Koroma
The Parliament of Sierra Leone is mourning the loss of Honourable Ernest Dura Koroma, Member of Parliament representing Tonko Limba Chiefdom in Kambia District under the All Peoples Congress (APC) Party, who tragically died in a road accident on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
According to a public notice issued by the Office of the Leader of the Opposition in Parliament, Hon. Koroma’s untimely passing has left a deep void within his family, his constituents, and the wider parliamentary community.
The notice described the late MP as “a dedicated and humble public servant who served his people with unwavering commitment and loyalty to the values of the All Peoples Congress and to the development of Sierra Leone.”
“The Leadership of the Opposition extends heartfelt condolences to his family, the people of Tonko Limba, the Kambia District community, and all Members of Parliament who mourn this painful loss. We stand with them in this moment of grief and pray for God’s comfort and strength during this difficult time,” the statement added.
Hon. Ernest Dura Koroma was known for his calm demeanor, commitment to grassroots development, and dedication to improving the lives of his constituents.
Funeral arrangements are yet to be announced as tributes continue to pour in for the late lawmaker.
